Like many areas across the country, Montana has experienced a boom in microbreweries in recent years. The breweries differ vastly in scope and not just in the taste of their products, but in the names they enlist to identify their brews. From the neatly understated Bayern Amber to the wackier Moose Drool and Slow Elk, Montana beers span the tastes and styles of the great microbrew spectrum. Moose Drool may be the tastiest Brown Ale you will ever encounter, and it is the best-selling beer manufactured in Montana for good reason. Moose Drool’s tang comes primarily from the malt with a trace of spice contributed by the hops. The signature Montana brew is fermented with soft caramel chocolate and full black malts.
