Organization is Key

Choose a different color bag for each family member, and allow them to fill it with the contents they will need for the trip, including clothing, toys, etc. Make a separate bag to contain other items, such as shampoo and toothbrushes. This helps eliminate hassle when on a road trip, as everyone simply searches for their color bag and is ready to go. Be sure an additional bag of a different color is also along for the ride. This bag can hold the dirty clothing.

Medication Should be Packed Separately

Ensure any medications that will be needed by any member of the family is safely tucked inside a Ziploc bag and kept close so it is easily accessible when it is needed.

Pack the Wallet

Ensure you have all identification cards, social security cards, debit and credit cards, medical cards and other important information in the wallet before  you leave for the road trip. Don’t want to leave home without any of the very important things you may find yourself needing.
