"During summer, the least crowded of the beaches is normally ..."

You have to go to
One must-see site is Magnolia Plantations and Gardens. The trails are lovely and the gardens are full of beautiful plants.

Here's one fun activity you can do
Head to Folly Beach, the Edge of America, for surfing or feeding the birds. I have seen so many come for bread or chips.

Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
There's a playground on Folly Beach right next to the water tower. Late at night, I have had many important discussions in the swing, or by the wooden lighthouse piece of the playground.

Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Hominy Grill downtown has amazing Southern food. It's a must-eat-at restaurant.

Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Spend a few hours at one of the beaches
2. Eat lunch at Brown Dog Deli downtown
3. Go to the Sheldon Ruins or the Angel Oak
4. Geocache along the way

My extra insider tip for you is
During summer, the least crowded of the beaches is normally Sullivan's Island. Folly Beach is the most popular, and therefore traffic is horrendous. If you choose Folly Beach during summer, don't get gas until you're back on James Island.
