About Me
My name is Hailemeskel, and I am a tour operator and guide. I love living in Addis Abeba because it's a busy African capital with a great climate, wonderful history with equally wonderful people.

You have to go to
St. George Cathedral and Museum. The coronations for both Empress Zewditu and Emperor Haile Selassie took place here.
Here's one fun activity you can do
Experience daily life in the Merkato. It's considered the largest market in Africa.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
I love Entoto Mountain for the panoramic view of the city, the fresh air, and eucalyptus forest.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Habesha Restaurant serves good, traditional food. Try 'injera' (like thin crepe) with 'woti' (a type of stew) and the local drink 'teji' (a honey wine).
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Start the day by looking at Addis Ababa from Entoto Mountain, and visit the Entoto Maryam Church and Museum.
2. Sample some of Ethiopia's traditional dishes.
3.Visit Shiro Meda, the city’s largest market for traditional clothes.
4. Go to the Ethnographic Museum at Addis Ababa University. Housed in the former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie, the museum has exhibits on many of the cultures of Ethiopia.
5. Visit the National Museum. You can see two casts of "Lucy" (her real bones are in the museum's archive).
6. See the Holy Trinity Church. This the final resting place of Haile Selassie.
7. End the day with some shopping in the Merkato.
My extra insider tip for you is
You can see contemporary art by well-known and upcoming Ethiopian artists at the Asni Gallery.
