About Me
My name is Jihane, and I am an architect. I love living in Rabat because it's a very calm and green city. I love its historical part, the Medina, the Kasbah, and the colonial quarter. Plus, I love the beach and the river.
You have to go to
Kasbah des Oudayas, the Medina, and Chellah (ok, it's more than one).
Here's one fun activity you can do
Go kayaking or surfing in the Atlantic.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
I like going to the Medina, especially Ambassador Street. The Medina is touristy, but go anyway, and you'll enjoy many nice and small streets, buy food, and vegetables, have a cup of tea. I like jewelry, and there are many shops for that.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Dar Naji is a nice, popular place that offers many delicious meals for a very good price.
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Have a cup of tea and enjoy the river view at Café Maure in the Kasbah des Oudayas, especially in the morning for me is a must.
2. Then, not very far from there, walk to the Medina, go up to one of the Fondouk terraces and enjoy the view.
3. Then, walk from there to the center of the medina, ask for "Dar Naji" for lunch
4. Walk around the colonial part until thel 7eme Art Cinema and have a tea on the terrace.
5. Afterwards, take a taxi and go to Chellah (a medieval, fortified fortress just south of the city. This would all be enough for a nice day!
My extra insider tip for you is
If you're looking for a place to go out at night, check out El Yacout. It's a nice pub with nice music.
