About Me
My name is Andrea Macdonald, and I am a Musician. I love living in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island because It's a small city that feels more like a small town - the arts community is huge and empowering and some really great art gets made here. Our artists and musicians more/less
You have to go to
The Confederation Centre of the Arts. A wonderful art gallery combined with a gorgeous theatre and a beautiful public library in a fabulous building.
Here's one fun activity you can do
Art in the Open is a day-long celebration of art with installations and activities all over the city. Grab a map and wander all day and all night. It happens in August.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
Baba's Lounge/Cedar's Eatery. One of the oldest restaurants and live music venues in PEI, with a grand history of hosting some of the worlds best musical acts in a tiny, intimate setting. Best Lebanese food in town too!
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Cedar's Eatery. Or Terre Rouge.
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Harbour cruise around Charlottetown harbor
2. Walk through Victoria Row in the summer
3. Wander through Victoria Park
4. Bicycle on the Confederation Trail
5. See an original, local band at Baba's Lounge
6. Check out the Confederation Centre Art Gallery
7. See a play or a comedy show at The Guild
My extra insider tip for you is
Open Mic nights at Baba's Lounge (Wednesday nights) and Hunter's Alehouse (Monday nights) are wonderful places to see young up and comers in the music scene, or try your own hand at performing.
