About Me
My name is Alicia, and I am a teacher and bartender. I love living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania because it's known as the City of Brotherly Love—and that's exactly what you get. You get a type of love from the city that you can only get unconditionally from a sibling. more/less
You have to go to
Reading Terminal Market. If you wanna eat, this is the place to go!
Here's one fun activity you can do
Nightlife on South Street. There's a lot of different types of people in one condensed area.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
Ritten House square. It's a park in center city that is a two-block-by-two-block square. It's a very rich part of town, with the fanciest restaurants and richest hotels surrounding the park. You'll see people of all shapes, sizes, nationalities, sanity levels and talents in the park. Some men show up daily to play a game of cardboard chess. There's always a saxophone player gracing us with his music; a lot of yogis' and wellness addicts like to use this natural place as their outdoor gym. Lastly, every dog in a two-mile radius knows of Ritten House—it's a dog- lovers paradise.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
One meal must be a Philadelphia cheese steak. Make sure you get it the Philadelphia way with fried onions and wiz cheese. There are many places to find this world famous cheese steak, but the most popular places are: Geno's, Pat's, Jim's or Steve's. You can't go wrong with either steak nirvana.
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Philadelphia Museum of Art scenery at sunset.
2. Eat at Reading Terminal Market.
3. See the Magic Gardens on South Street.
4. Visit historic Philadelphia, where the Liberty Bell is located and where the Constitution was first signed.
5. Stop in Di Bruno Brother to sample as many cheeses as you possibly can.
My extra insider tip for you is
Wear a Philadelphia sports team shirt while you visit. You'll absolutely be accepted and fit in perfectly.
