You have to go to
Jalesveva Jayamahe Museum (including The Fleet House)
Here's one fun activity you can do
Do evening exercise with The Freeletics Community
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
i love going to Pasar Atom. that's the place for cheap clothings, fake branded goods, super tasty snacks and food. spend your day there and finish up with having Sate Kelapa for dinner in a place nearby.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
i highly recommend Jalan Ondomohen! you can have Sate Kelapa (beef satay with shredded coconut and peanut sauce), Mie Kluntung (Javanese Style Noodle), Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice). or! (this one is where i always take my foreigner guests) A traditional themed restaurant / food court named D'Kampoeng, it is inside one of the hottest hang out place, SUTOS (Surabaya Town Square). They have all Indonesian food in one place, you'll have a hard time deciding what to eat. And try the old recipe ice cream, you'll definitely love it.
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
if the day happens to be Sunday, do my list :
1. wake up early, go to Car Free Day Fest on Jalan Darmo. starts from 7-10 AM. Go with an empty stomach, get your breakfast there! You'll see all kinds of things on the CFD Fest. You can feel the warmth of the people there.
2. Then check out Pasar Atom if you feel like shopping your wallet thin. Or go to Kenjeran Beach area. They have Buddhist (more like chinese) temples and statues there and sometimes they have Kite Festival and all kinds of festivals there.
3. Grab your lunch at Food Festival nearby Kenjeran Beach. Or if you are going to Pasar Atom, grab your lunch there, don't forget to try Cakwe and Es Dawet!
4. Visit Museum of Sampoerna (a Cigarette Museum. Yes, cigarette) and take the sight-seeing bus (reserve your seat one day before.) They will take you on a 1,5-hour sight seeing trip around Surabaya. If you are lucky, you'll get to see Reog Ponorogo Dance (included in the trip.) Check out their schedule first. FYI, the bus is really cute.
5. Spend your evening in style, have a fancy dinner on the West Area of Surabaya. They have Coco Palm, a good place with Bali Beach ambience, or simply walk through G-Walk Area, they have plenty of good cafes, bistros, and restaurants with tasty foods to make your tummy rumbles and your Instagram colorful. If you don't feel like going far to the west, just go to SUTOS (Surabaya Town Square) and grab your dinner in D'Kampoeng restaurant. Your tummy will be happy, and you will thank me later for the not-so-wallet-choking bills.
6. Spend the rest of the night in the hottest club in Surabaya, M1 Superclub, also in the West Area of Surabaya. Or you can grab a glass of good wine in SPAZIO, still in the West Area.

i think that's my list. try it if you have the chance!
My extra insider tip for you is
Don't drink anything with Ice Cubes, unless you are in a restaurant!
