About Me
My name is Mariana Danil, and I am a tourism specialist, event planner, and holistic therapist. I love living in Tallinn because it's small enough so you can walk or bike to most of places, and big enough so there's a lot of cool stuff happening all the time. With 400,000 more/less
You have to go to
The Old Town.
Here's one fun activity you can do
The Patarei Prison is one of many Eastern European sites known for its “live-like-a-Soviet- prisoner” experiences. It’s an ironic way to have fun, but also a historical lesson.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
The City Walls. Climbing them is my number one favorite thing to do in Tallinn. The walls around the Old Town were built between the 1400 –1600s, and there's a section that's open to the public to climb. You can access three towers: the Nun’s Tower, the Sauna Tower, and the Golden Foot Tower. If you're up for a little challenge (meaning very narrow, dark and winding staircases), then you’ll enjoy the great views at the top.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Restaurant Ribe, everything is always great—the food and service!
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
You must see:
1. The Old Town
2. Patarei Sea Fortress Prison
3. The KGB Museum
4. Kadriorg
5. Eat local food and drink Vana Tallinn liqueur!
My extra insider tip for you is
I definitely think you should find (or use Couchsurfing to meet) local people to show you around!
