Visit City

About Me
My name is Anna, and I am a student. I love living in Bern because it's neither too small nor to big. It has very easy-going people and a lot of wonderful places to visit.
You have to go to
The Old Town and the Aare River.
Here's one fun activity you can do
In summer: take a boat to go down the river or go for a swim. In winter: go for a walk or with the sledge on our "city mountain" Gurten.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
The Rosengarten. It's a wonderful park with a great view over the city. I live very close and often go there for a walk or to study in summer.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Lötschberger. There you can eat very good salads and typical, cheesy swiss meals.
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Rosengarten: because of the nice view.
2. Old town and the Münster/Münsterplattform.
3. Have a coffee/tea in the Einsteinhaus or Café Montag.
4. Parlament building: just to have seen it.
5. Matte District: to see one of the nice, old parts of Bern beside the river.
6. Reitschule: for a inside view of our nightlife and a political autonomous place.
My extra insider tip for you is
If there's time, go and visit the Turnhalle. It's an old gymnasium that's now a café/bar. There's a lot of concerts and always music in the evenings. In winter, they have a Pittaria with the best hummus and falafel in town! Beside the Turnhalle, there's a sweet, little café called Lehrerzimmer, both are part of the Cultural Center Progr.
