About Me
My name is Tina, and I am a student. I love living in Split because it's on a peninsula that's surrounded by sea and reefs. It's also a place where you can feel and see the mixture of history and culture, the ancient and modern. It's filled with cheerful people more/less
You have to go to
Diocletian's Palace
Here's one fun activity you can do
If you come in the summer, you can play "picigin" with the locals. This game is traditional and local, and the rules are easy to follow; so, there won't be any problems. Just bring your bathing suits, because this game is played in the sea on the local beach called "Bačvice".
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
The main square of the Diocletian Palace in peristyle architecture. This is the place where I grew up, so I am emotionally connected to this place, as well as every other citizen of Split. It's one of the most famous archaeological sites, and yet, it's so vivid, alive, and the stomping ground for .many who would like to enjoy their coffee and free-time.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
You should go to the restaurant called "Korta" - it's very popular among the tourists because of its good location and reasonable prices.
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
You should definitely visit:
1. The main promenade along the harbor
2, Diocletian's Palace (the basements, the Cathedral, Jupiter's Temple), and you'll wan to climb up the belltower.
3. The Green Market
4, People's Square and Fruit Square
5. Đardin Park
My extra insider tip for you is
When you come to Split, there is one thing you need to bring with you: sunglasses! Split is a typical Mediterranean town, and it's always sunny. Every local has at least two pairs of sunglasses. Also, join us is our local sport: drinking coffee! For you, the process of coffee-drinking at a café may last for 45 minutes. We, in Split, drink coffee for a minimum two hours--it's just a part of our lifestyle.
