"The bus system is great here. If you're going ..."

You have to go to
Long Beach Waterfront just outside the Aquarium of the Pacific. There are plenty of grassy areas and a nice walk past a few little shops, all while looking at the beautiful waterfront.

Here's one fun activity you can do
Visit the Cabrillo Qquarium. It's a smaller aquarium than the Aquarium of the Pacific, but much more environmentally aware and educational--it's also free!

Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
I love the farmers market at Bixby Park on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. There's also yoga at the park at 11 am, and afterwards you can take a stroll on the beach and grab some snacks at the farmers market while listening to live music

Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Hard to pick just one, but I'd recommend Hole Mole Tacos. It's quick and easy, and it's delicious variety of Mexican food is reasonably priced, with options for vegetarians too!

Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Walk the waterfront
2. Visit El Dorado Nature Center
3. Eat on Anaheim Street (Cambodiatown)
4. Go to the beach and relax.
5. Go for an evening ride up to Signal Hill to take in the view.
If you have extra time just walk around town and people watch--there's so many cool people to meet here and they love to talk!

My extra insider tip for you is
The bus system is great here. If you're going to hop on and off the buses, get a day pass for $4. Just pay the driver, and he/she will give you the pass. 7th Street has the most frequent buses, and in downtown Long Beach they have a bus hub that can take you anywhere and that's where the metro will drop you off.
