"Come in September. "

You have to go to
Quidi Vidi Village.

Here's one fun activity you can do
Sailing.

Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
The local market (June through to December). Walking through this small market can be underwhelming if you're used to what you'd find in New York or Vancouver. Although, I promise that if you stop and talk to vendors and locals you won't be disappointed.

Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Such a hard question for me. Newfoundland is known for its seafood and many restaurants have a few menu items showcasing them. So, here are way more than just one:
-Fish and chips at Ches's
-Adelaide comes to mind for the lower price end (the fish taco is a must).
-Reluctant Chef is a restaurant that offers both a tapas menu and a 5-course meal, with optional wine pairing that changes every two weeks. They do their best to use local ingredients and seasonal foods.
-Raymond's is expensive but amazing. It offers the most locally sourced foods and most traditional cuisine but elevated.

Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Sunrise at Cape Spear
2. Take the Signal Hill walking path
3. Ches's for fish and chips
4. Go on a whale-watching tour
5. Take a couple of laps around the downtown area, poking your head into some shops.
6. Have a pint at The Duke
7. Get "screeched-in" at Christian's.
