Isabel Amorós Leblic

About Me
My name is Isabel Amorós Leblic, and I am an interior designer. I love living in Mérida because it's a city known all over the world as a city that treasures some of the best preserved Roman ruins in the world. It's also not too populated, but it more/less

You have to go to
The Roman Theatre, Anfitheatre, Roman Circus, Domus, the Roman Bridge, Aqueducts (two), Proserpina´s Dam, Diana´s Temple and the National Roman Art Museum by Rafael Moneo (sorry, there are many "one must- sees")!
Here's one fun activity you can do
Emérita Lúdica, it's a local festival that takes place at the beginning of June. All the citizens re-enact life in the ancient Roman town of Emerita Augusta. It's funny to dress up and live like a real Roman.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
Milagros´ Aqueduct. Whenever I pass through it, it takes my breath way--it's beautiful, I admire the way it was built. I also like the storks´nests resting at the top.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Nico´s Bar. He's a funny guy who has the Guiness World Record for cutting the longest slice of ham. Apart from that, the local products are excellent and the wine's very good. It's also a shop where you can buy all the products.
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Take a walk that begins by crossing the Roman Bridge to enter the city.
2. Then go to the Roman Theatre and visit the museum.
3. After lunch, visit the Milagros Aqueduct.
My extra insider tip for you is
Enjoy yourself! Also, take a seat at some of the busy "terrazas" (outdoor cafés) found all over the city.
