Marina Jordanova

About Me
My name is Marina Jordanova, and I am a tour guide. I love living in Sofia because it's a mixture of the past and the present: buildings from the Romans, Ottoman Turks, Communists and the new modern world. I like the atmosphere of this ancient city and the spirit of more/less

You have to go to
St. Sophia Basilica, which dates to the 4th century AD.
Here's one fun activity you can do
Go to Borisova Garden in the summer. There's always a lot of young people biking, walking or just laying on the grass.
Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
Shishman Street. This is the street with small cozy shops, good bars and somehow a unique atmosphere.
Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Hadzidraganovite Izbi or Corso Restaurant
Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. St. George Rotonda
2. The Covered Market
3. Bania Bashi Mosque and the Synagogue
4. The National Theater Ivan Vazov, along with its amazing city garden.
5. Alexander Nevski Catherdral
6. St. Sophia Basilica
7. And in the end: Borisova Garden :)
My extra insider tip for you is
Sofia is amazingly beautiful from the top of Mt. Vitosha.
