"It's free to visit the Reichstag (German Parliament building), ..."

You have to go to
The view from the top of the Siegessäule. It's not the highest place, but you have an amazing view of Berlin's green lung—Tiergarten Park.

Here's one fun activity you can do
In summer rent a bike and explore the city. In winter time, try one of the ice rinks ( e.g. on top of the bikini house).

Don't forget to check out one of my favorite places
My favourite place to be is the Wannsee, a lake in the southwestern part of the city. It's a place where you get a break from the hectic city. It's easy to reach by S-bahn (Wannsee Station), car or by bike. When you're there, you can enjoy nature and the lake itself, either on the beach or along walking paths. There's also a nice beer garden called Loretta, which offers a view of the lake. After a short break, visit the House of the Wannsee Conference or the Liebermann House.

Enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant
Eat a "Broiler" (the East German word for chicken) at "zur Henne" in Kreuzberg. It's is a very old restaurant with excellent chicken. The Berlin Wall once ran next to it, too.

Here's a doable bucket list for you to do in one day
1. Take bus 100 or 200 to explore the city
2. Instead of paying more than 10 euros for a city view, go to the Park Inn Hotel viewing platform on the 40th floor for 3 euros and enjoy the city skyline with a drink.
3. Eat a slice of cake and drink a coffee in the Berliner Kaffeerösterei (address: Uhlandstr. 173). It's amazing, and you won't regret it.
4. Relax at Café am Neuen See in the Tiergarten
5. Book a bunker tour

My extra insider tip for you is
It's free to visit the Reichstag (German Parliament building), but you have to book a day and time in advance. It's quicker and easier do this online.
