Richard Fleck has recently published a number of books including A Colorado River Reader (Salt Lake City: University of Utah Press, 2000) that was selected as the reader for the NEH 7-States Project: Moving Waters: History of the Colorado River. His most recent work is Desert Rims to Mountains High (Portland: West Winds Press, 2013) which is a collection of his natural history essays from Death Valley, California to the summit of Longs Peak, Colorado. And Richard Fleck has written several forewords to the writings of John Muir and Henry D.Thoreau for the Literary Naturalist Series of West Winds Press including: John Muir's The Cruise of the Corwin (Portland: West Winds Press, 2014) and Citizen Thoreau (Portland: West Winds Press, 2014) more+
