5 reasons to choose Kenya for your next holiday

There are a lot of different nations to choose from if you’re serious about making sure you have the perfect African adventure – it can be hard to pick just one. However, Kenya could just well be one of the best places to add to your bucket list. Last year the country enjoyed a staggering 20% growth in tourism, despite it being an election year! This proves how many people are flocking to Kenya, but if you’re still not convinced, here are some of the top reasons why you need to visit.

1. The Masai Mara

Okay, so no visit to Africa is going to be complete without undergoing a unique and personalized safari excursion. In Kenya, that excursion is one that takes place across the sprawling, winding plains of the Masai Mara. One of the most incredible National Parks on Earth, this is an immersive and diverse nature reserve. It’s the perfect place to see the Big 5, as well as giving you front-row seats for the magnificence of the Great Migration. This one is a no-brainer!

2. Mount Kenya

If Kilimanjaro isn’t your scene, then that’s fine, because Kenya has its own impressive peak as well. Mount Kenya is the second-highest mountain in all of Africa, and it’s the perfect place to pit your wits against nature. There’s a wealth of climbing opportunities and excursions that tourists can make the most of when they visit, but you need to make sure you bring the right clothing and gear with you. If you want to take an excursion to climb Mount Kenya, there are plenty of opportunities to do so, just make sure you do your research first.

3. There’s never been a better time to go

Another excellent reason why you should choose Kenya for your next holiday is that there has never been a better time to visit. There are so many excellent places in the world, but many of them can be a pain to actually get into. Well, Kenya has become much easier to visit in the last few years, mainly as a result of the e-visa entry system. This straightforward process makes traveling much less stressful and much more appealing.

4. Jaw-dropping beaches

You might not peg Kenya as being a beach destination, but this is another of the wonderful appeals the country has. The beach life in Kenya is truly stunning. Paying a visit to beautiful beaches like Nyali, Vipingo, and Turtle Bay, on the shores of the Indian Ocean, is a true delight. You’ll feel like you’re in some kind of tropical paradise, and it adds a new dimension to your holiday experience.

5. It’s very romantic

Something else to know about Kenya – it’s a very romantic destination. It’s an ideal place for honeymooners, not least because of the luxury and opulence that many safari lodges and camps offer. This is also the place where Prince William proposed to his wife Kate Middleton, so there’s that royal link that makes it even more romantic!

Hopefully, by now, you’ve been convinced about why Kenya is such a wonderful place to visit in 2018 and beyond. There is so much to see and discover here, and you’re in for a rich cultural journey that is going to change the way you look at Africa.
